Sex is important business...

Over the past few months the world has been gaga over the bedroom habits of quite a few male individuals in whom a lot of trust and adulation was conferred (rightly or wrongly is another matter altogether). Unless you are the hermit who has been tasked with establishing the existance of Big-Foot and as a result your days are spent ferreting about in the dark caves of wherever; you would definitely know that a tiger joke has nothing to do with the big Asian feline. If you live in a country whose name is a description of it's geographical location on a third world (partially fourth and fifth world) continent then in addition to the Tiger Chronicles you also had to put up with Joost-gate, that is possibly in addition to tut-tut-ing at the picture of Obama supposedly ogling some ass in France, not long after you had heard that Silvio Berlusconi likes them rather young, you would of course have had no way of knowing that the President of your country would soon be outed as the father of a brood of twenty and undoubtedly counting; then just as you tried to catch your breathe you would learn that John Terry that epitomy of all that is fine (cough*cough) in the British game of football, who also happens to be reigning father of the year, captain of Chelsea and England had been caught with his pants down. You may also have learnt that cricket poster boy Jonty Rhodes was moving onto a new crease in Cape Town after parting ways with his wife in Durban.

What has struck me in all these instances aside from the obvious surprise at how newsworthy the sexual exploits of all these gentlemen are is how they pulled it off. While my list is in no way exhaustive I think there is a case for the abject lack of morals and perhaps even decorumon on the part of all the females involved here. Admittedly Obama was the victim of some trigger-snappy photographer and to our knowledge did not hit that or may actually not even have been looking at it.
None of these much vilified men who stand to lose immensely (some already have) from the exposure of what their mating habits are are inconsequential blokes. These are men of influence and power who are at the least well-known to their conquests if not actively pursued for an intimate dalliance by their quarry.
They are prey that has been successfully hunted. Never do we go on safari and scold the zebra for getting caught. Rather we marvel at the lion for a display of such speed and strength to bed its prey.
I am not suggesting that we applaud these women for a good catch nor vilify the men for getting caught. I think we need to fully examine all the dynamics at play here.
These women knew who these men were and are about. In spreading those legs (disclaimer - it may have been a different position) Sonono knew who she was bedding. A 67 year old close friend of her father who had 2 official wives 3 fiancees waiting in the wings, 19 other children, a divorce in his wake, an acquittal in a rape trial where the complainants familial description in relation to the 67 year closely mirrored her own.
But said 67 year old was the President of South Africa and the ANC.
In bedding Eldrick all 14 women knew him to be a married father of two children. So their association enabled him to cheat on his wife. They did not care. Eldrick was the best golfer in a couple of generations and there is the small matter of a billion dollars in earnings.

I may dwell on examples but in as much as these women knew what they were getting (including possibility of public censure, embarrasment and ridicule)  these men also knew what they were risking (including possibility of public censure, embarrasment and ridicule). They were aware of what they stood to lose. You do not stagger drunken and unaware into positions of influence and power. The laws of nature determine that that of the species that stands out must have exceptional ability to set it apart. Whether this prowess is a trusty foot, a sure arm or silver tongue is neither here nor there. These are no ordinary men. Nor were these women ordinary women...you do not just bed a President or the world's greatest golfer - your unique ability to attract them may lie in your simplicity...

Sex is important business...while who you have it with may influence the troubles to which you may go to get it and the risks you may take to get it...Sex matters!!!!
